Vicenza (Italy), 07 January 2026 – VO Vintage is getting bigger. The Italian Exhibition Group event will be welcoming enthusiasts and collectors to Vicenza Expo Centre (Italy) with 55 exhibitors, 25% more than at last September’s edition. Subject to online registration on the event website, from 16th to 19th January, entry is free of charge. A few clicks for a journey through vintage jewellery with 28 of the best Italian and foreign vintage jewellery dealers, while visitors will find and be able to purchase iconic second-wrist items from the 27 watch dealers in attendance. And that’s not all. In addition to increasing the marketplace offer, on Saturday 17th, VO Vintage will be staging three important events for watch enthusiasts on the provenance, rarity and conservation of historical pieces. An obligatory stop will be the exhibition featuring a true icon: the GMT-Master with Gilt dials (1960–1967). VO Vintage will be located on the mezzanine in Hall 8.1 of the Expo Centre, accessible by escalator. Entrance and exit will be from the West door.
QUALIFIED AND COMPETENT DEALERS
The 28 vintage jewellery exhibitors will include: Zagari from Naples, fifth generation of jewellers specializing in vintage signed jewellery, antique-cut diamonds and coloured stones; Bergamo-based E.L.A. Antichità, a reference point in Italy for antique and vintage jewellery enthusiasts for 25 years; I Santi Medici, an art space from La Spezia that exhibits period jewellery from noble collections that have particular stories to tell; Italian Vintage Jewellery from Crema, founded by two gemmologists with experience in large international diamond and jewellery companies, aims at an audience of informed collectors who understand gemmological quality, and Lisa Finkelman van der Plas’ EL&L Finery will bring the experience and taste of a “daughter of art” recognized for unique European antique collectibles from late 19th–early 20th century to vintage from the ‘60s to ‘80s. Watch dealers will include: Stefano Mazzariol’s Vintage Watches, Andrea Foffi’s Vintage Watches and Cars, Antonio Nocco’s Il Quadrante, Prezioso, Vintage Watches Milano and Mr. Tempo Prezioso.
THE GILT DIAL AGE ON DISPLAY
A currently obsolete technology, the Gilt dial was popular from 1960 to 1967 due to its shine and warm tones of gold. Those who own a GMT-Master certainly possess a little treasure. VO Vintage will be putting 15 of them on display to the public, all in chronological order, thanks to loans from private individuals and dealers. A complete exhibition of historical memorabilia and advertising materials, curated by Fabrizio Artioli, Marco Di Falco and Andrea Piccinini, who will be speaking with Italian experts in the third event on Saturday 17th.
THE STATES GENERAL OF VINTAGE AND OTHER EVENTS
Saturday will be event day at VO Vintage (all in the Canova Room). At 11.30, “The States General of Vintage”, will make a comparison between some of collecting’s Italian protagonists: Stefano Mazzariol, Tony Musumeci, Andrea Foffi, Antonio Nocco in dialogue with Michele Mengoli, Giorgione and Jacopo Giudici. At 2 pm, Professor Guido Pancani from the Fondation Haute Horlogerie in Geneva will be presenting his History of Italian watchmaking, a journey from medieval origins to the rebirth of Made in Italy. Last but not least, at 3pm, the presentation of the book GMT-Master 1675 – The Gilt Era, dedicated to the dials on display in Hall 8.1. The book is full of technical analyses, studies on the materials and production processes with useful comparisons between models and insights into the cultural and design context of the 1960s.
At 4 pm, Dody Giussani, Editor-in-Chief of the monthly magazine L’Orologio and co-creator of the Laboratorio podcast, together with Pietro Pannone, Founder of Ghiera Orologi, will engage in a discussion titled The Collector, This Unknown Figure? with Giorgia Mondani, Founder of Mondani Web.
On Sunday the 18th at 12:00 PM, the focus will be on Made in Italy with Venezianico, featuring Alessandro Morelli, COO and co-founder of the brand, and Andrea Menegazzo, Product Manager and Head of Technical Development, co-creator of the V5000 calibre together with Fausto Berizzi, then Technical Director of OISA 1937. The program will conclude at 3 pm with Richard Mille: Analysis on Split-Seconds Chronographs, together with Enrico Zazzali of Edizioni Complicate.
