LOCMAN at VO Vintage: an exhibition on design, research, and Made in Italy

27 August 2025

The centerpiece of LOCMAN's presence at VO Vintage will be an exhibition designed to recount the brand's evolution through its history, distinctive materials, and most significant collaborations.
A narrative journey that offers visitors to the fair an opportunity to learn more about design, material experimentation, and research in Italian watchmaking.

Set up inside VO Vintage, Hall 8.1, the exhibition will guide the public through the fundamental stages of LOCMAN's identity: from the heather burl wood of the 1980s to anodized aluminum and polished titanium, from carbon fiber to the most recent achievements in the design and production of mechanical movements with OISA 1937.

The stars of the exhibition will be the collections that have contributed most to marking the passage of time at Locman:

• Montecristo – The brand's signature collection, inspired by the island in the Tuscan Archipelago. A model with a distinctive, sporty design, featuring a patented case and technical innovations that have marked the company's history.

• Nuovo Carbonio – Presented at Baselworld 2003, it was the first watch in the world with a case made entirely of carbon fiber, paving the way for a new production paradigm in watchmaking.

• Teseo Tesei – A technical titanium watch, born from a collaboration with the Italian Navy. Engineering robustness and heroic spirit come together in a timepiece designed to withstand extreme conditions.

• Ducati D120 – A sports chronograph dedicated to Ducati's victory in MotoGP 2021. A meeting of two Italian excellences united by a passion for technology and high performance.

• OISA 1937 – A 100% Italian mechanical movement, reborn thanks to the vision of LOCMAN and a group of entrepreneurs. A synthesis of craftsmanship and innovation.

• Decimo Canto – Watch designed with Sandro Fratini and Professor Ugo Pancani, inspired by the Divine Comedy. With a polished titanium case and OISA 29-50 movement, it represents the union between Italian culture and watchmaking art.

Alongside these icons, a selection of collections dedicated to the Italian Armed Forces – Aeronautica Militare, Paracadutisti Folgore, Frecce Tricolori, and Nave Vespucci – will also be on display, demonstrating the brand's commitment to promoting Italian identity and national excellence.

“The exhibition we are presenting at VO Vintage is intended as a tribute to our history and, at the same time, a declaration of intent for the future: we continue to explore, innovate, and design with Italian passion and pride,” says Marco Mantovani, founder and president of LOCMAN.
