Stefan Kudoke is famous the world over for his exceptional creations. For over 10 years, he has been producing extravagant watches exclusively by hand. "KudOktopus", his most famous model, is already iconic among watch collectors and, in recent years, he has focused on perfecting the art of openwork on the watch hands. Ora Kudoke, who is now developing the movement in his watches, says “While developing the Kaliber1, I drew inspiration from the design of historical British pocket watches whose shape I deliberately incorporated into my movement. I bought an old English pocket watch years ago which had lain in a drawer ever since. One day I picked it up again. In the past, German and English watchmakers actually collaborated quite intensely. It was the German diplomat and astronomer, Hans Moritz von Brühl, who upheld British precision horology and took it to Saxony and Dresden. In this way, he set an important target for Saxon watchmaking. With our new watch movement, I would like to re-connect to this tradition in honour of the old Masters”.
